jackets, labels, sleeves and the extras.
Send us your artwork, we take care of the rest.

WHAT WE DO

Prepare the artwork for your record

Jackets, center labels, inner sleeves and outer protection are part of your all-in number at Gold Rush Vinyl, not a line item you find later.

We place each piece with the right printer from a vetted network across Texas, the rest of the USA, or Canada -- matched to the format, finish and run size your project actually needs. Your creativity is the only limit; we can find the right solutions for whatever your project needs.

Your rep and our pre-press team review every file before it goes to press, and nothing prints until you approve a digital proof.

In a world of digital music, album art that your fans can actually hold and see up close makes vinyl especially valuable. We're here to help make sure your records look as great as they sound.

YOUR OPTIONS

Vinyl Packaging Components

Jackets

SINGLE POCKET / GATEFOLD / TIP-ON

Single pocket is the standard, but we also print gatefold and triple-pocket. Tip-on options are also available, where we add a printed sheet onto a board for a classic look. Choose matte, gloss or reverse board finish.

Center labels

STANDARD / CUSTOM

One of the most important parts of your record is the set of center labels used. Fun fact: labels are pressed into the record itself -- not stuck on -- so they need to be print-ready and sent to us alongside your audio.

Inner sleeves

PAPER / POLYLINED / PRINTED

All Gold Rush Vinyl records come with a white paper sleeve by default, but you can also upgrade to black paper, polylined or custom. Printed inners often lyrics, credits and photos -- whatever your project needs,

*Outer protection: shrinkwrap, open-top polybags and resealable polybags.

*Special effects like spot UV, foil, specialty papers, die-cuts and reverse board may need specific artwork setup or higher minimums, typically 500–1,000+. Talk to your rep early to avoid pre-press or budget surprises.
ARTWORK

Art file specifications

File format. Flattened CMYK PDFs at 300 dpi at print size, with template layers hidden or removed. We can accept layered native files in some cases, such as when vector artwork is needed — include every linked image and outline all fonts.

Color. CMYK, not RGB.

Bleed. Every template includes room for bleed lines along the edges. Run your design into them and keep text out of them — text that goes over the bleed lines can be cut off in printing.

Type size. Minimum 5 pt for positive printing, 6 pt for reverse or knockout printing.

Proofing. We send a digital PDF proof before anything goes to print. Check spelling, grammar, names, track titles and credits carefully. We call out what we see, but you know your project best and the proof is your final word. We provide digital proofs only: a single physical proof is not economical, and digital proofing is standard industry practice we have used on thousands of projects.

Need help with the template? We can fit your artwork into our templates and make minor adjustments. For full design work, layout changes or new design elements, ask your sales rep for our recommended designer list.
